TATTOOS

My tattoos, while always evolving, still -they're ALWAYS rooted in Traditional Americana - with that being what I first noticed as a kid seeing tattoos, and what ultimately was my blueprint of what a "tattoo" really was. It's engraved into my mind forever.

In the late 1980's, I first fell in love with tattoos, with the art and history of this beautiful thing. I followed that history down to the pioneers and mavericks who laid down the first real foundation of what every traditional piece is built on - still today. Still for me.

Over these years, Traditional Japanese tattooing also had a massive hand in what I draw, paint and tattoo. Whether it's the influence and the vibe, or straight-forward Traditional Japanese work, the building blocks for my work come from those same elements and ideas, living inside those same rules.. having continuously evolved from and influenced by most everything I feel, listen to, watch, read, or am simply connected to. As out there as my work can get, it still lives in that same world as far as I can see. Where it goes IS the adventure.
